Dr. Alia I. Abdelmoty is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Computer Science and Informatics, Cardiff University, Wales, UK. With over 35 years of experience in academia and research, she has made significant contributions to the fields of spatial reasoning, knowledge representation, geographic information systems, and human-centred AI.
Her research focuses on how people perceive and interact with places, developing qualitative approaches to spatial modelling, and building intelligent systems that understand geographic and social contexts. She has published extensively in leading journals and conferences, and has supervised numerous PhD students to completion.
